Rapid KL has confirmed the restructuring of bus routes in the Jalan Ipoh and Jalan Pahang corridors within Kuala Lumpur. The plans include the shortening of four routes (Routes 170, 191, 200, and 201), terminating of two routes (Routes 172 and 690) and restructuring of one route (Route 251) from May 17, 2021.

These plans are a part of the ongoing bus route consolidation in Kuala Lumpur. The consolidation aims to optimise capital and assets while also addressing challenges and constraints posed by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The decision was made after a thorough analysis of the low number of riders, route duplication, and the availability of alternative public transportation options for users, such as the GoKL bus service, monorail, and light rail transit (LRT) systems.
