Singapore-based Ripple2Wave (R2WI), an incubator focused on water technology start-ups, has announced its first digital water hackathon with the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) to develop high-potential start-ups in the area of water technology. The programme will include a one-week bootcamp and a three-month-long deep mentoring session by experts and business mentors. The hackathon will take place from March 6, 2021 to June 24, 2021.

The participants will respond to six problem statements that will be provided by entities including Singapore’s Public Utilities Board (PUB), Optiqua, ZWEEC Analytics, and other water-focused agencies and companies in Singapore. The hackathon will have two categories that include entry level for entrepreneurs with ideas at the conceptual stage and advanced level for local or international teams with existing solutions.

The winners will receive prizes including a SGD50,000 Start-up SG Founder Grant, potential research, SGD250,000 development funding, and up to SGD6,000 Alibaba Cloud credit.
