Quadriver Energy Corporation, a JV between Ayala-controlled AC Energy and Sta. Clara Power, is building a slew of run-of-the-river hydropower projects in the Ifugao and Isabela provinces. The JV received approval from the country’s Energy Department to develop three Tinoc hydro projects in Ifugao with a total capacity of 14.5 MW: the 3 MW Tinoc 1, the 6.5 MW Tinoc 2, and the 5 MW Tinoc 3 hydro projects. The JV has also received the department’s approval for the 6 MW Tumaulini hydro project in Isabela. It is also planning to develop an 8 MW Cantakoy hydro project at Danao in Bohol. AC Energy owns 70 per cent of Quadriver, while local developer Sta. Clara Power owns the remaining stake.
