Martijn Peeters has been appointed as the CEO of PwC’s Consulting business in Southeast Asia. Based in Jakarta, Peeters brings more than 25 years of experience in consulting and transformation, advising multinational and national companies on revenue growth, operating models, organisational efficiency and enterprise-wide change through technology and artificial intelligence. He currently serves as Consulting Leader for Indonesia and Leader of the Strategy & Operations practice for Southeast Asia.

In his new role, Peeters will lead PwC’s consulting business across Southeast Asia, which operates through hubs in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand and has more than 1,900 consultants and staff. Earlier in his career, he served as Consulting Leader for PwC’s Russian business and Retail and Consumer Leader for Eastern Europe, following consulting roles in the Netherlands.

Peeters succeeds Simon Gealy, who held the role for six years, as part of a planned succession. The leadership change comes as organisations across Southeast Asia respond to rapid technological advancement and shifting economic conditions, with PwC focusing on combining strategy, technology and AI to support transformation and business growth across the region.
