PT Waskita Karya, a state-owned construction company and China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC) have teamed up in an initiative to boost infrastructure development in Indonesia. Under the terms of the agreement, both agencies will jointly develop the Ciawi-Sukabumi and Kayu Agung-Palembang-Betung toll roads, a fuel distribution pipe running between Cikampek in West Java and Plumpang in Jakarta, as well as the renovation of the Benoa port in Bali.
There is scope for the partnership between the two to be expanded to other key sectors. PT Waskita Karya is willing to collaborate with other agencies as well.
