State-owned company PT Jasa Marga plans to launch three new toll roads by end-2013. The road stretches are the Nusa Dua–Ngurah Rai–Benoa toll road in Bali, the Kebon Jeruk–Ciledug section in West Jakarta, and the Ungaran–Bawean section in Central Java. The company had previously planned to complete construction of the Gempol–Pandaan toll road and the Krian–Mojokerto highway, both in East Java. However, it could not do so due to land acquisition issues. Jasa Marga has a total of nine projects under construction. The company spent Rp 850 billion during the first quarter of 2013, mostly to support ongoing projects. This expenditure constituted a part of the company’s 2013 capital expenditure totalling Rp 7 trillion. The company, along with its subsidiaries, operates 545 km of toll roads – about 73 per cent of the highways in the country.
