PT Profesional Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Protelindo) has completed the acquisition of 1,723 towers, with the physical handover of 1,400 towers and over 2,200 tenancies from PT XL Axiata Tbk. The asset purchase agreement between the companies had been signed in February 2020. XL Axiata had agreed to sell its 2,782 telecommunication towers to Protelindo and PT Centratama Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk. While Protelindo acquired 1,728 XL towers, Centratama bought 1,054 towers from the company.
