The Government of Malaysia is inviting concept proposals from private players to revive the Kuala Lumpur–Singapore high-speed rail (HSR) project. The Request for Information (RFI) exercise is open to both Malaysia-based and international companies and consortiums. Interested parties will also be able to access previously conducted studies.
MyHSR Corporation, the project delivery vehicle of the HSR line, plans for the project to be executed under a public-private partnership (PPP) model.
The USD17 billion project was terminated in January 2021 after both countries failed to reach an agreement regarding proposed changes.
