Power Grid Corporation of India invested $18.82 million in 230-kV transmission project in Myanmar

Power Grid Corporation of India, a power transmission and distribution company, completed the investment of $18.82 million in the construction and development of a 230 kV transmission line in Myanmar. The transmission line that connects the 120 MW Thahtay Chaung hydropower project to the electrical grid in Myanmar was developed by Alstom T&D India through a turnkey contract. It is expected to be commissioned in 2015.
