The Port of Singapore was named the best seaport in Asia for the 32nd time, beating Hong Kong, Shanghai and Shenzhen for the title at the 2020 Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain (AFLAS) Awards. The Port of Singapore has played a vital role in keeping global supply chains going, with the world economy starting to reopen.
The AFLAS Awards are organised by Asia Cargo News to honour organisations for demonstration of leadership and other parameters such as consistency in service quality, innovation, customer relationship management and reliability. The winners have been chosen by a vote count from readers of the publication.
