The Philippine National Railway (PNR) is upgrading 26 diesel engine locomotives in partnership with a consortium consisting of Meralco’s subsidiary, Miescorrail, and Philippines-based energy sector servicing firm Desco Incorporated and General Electric, PNR’s locomotive engine supplier. The upgrade is expected to be completed by end-2015.
