Philippines-based PLDT and its mobile unit Smart Communications Incorporated have won the gold, silver and bronze citations for effective initiatives in brand and digital communication, customer service and corporate social responsibility at the 2022 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards. The gold award was for innovation in an entertainment app. The GigaPlay app provides subscribers with content related to their passion and acts like a virtual sports stadium or movie theatre and brings in entertainment like live sports, music shows anytime, anywhere. The silver award was given to PLDT Enterprise’s Digicon 2021, a digital convention which gathers worldwide industry experts and thought leaders to help drive technological enablement among enterprises. Three bronze medals were received by Smart Chatbox, a customer support tool featuring sophisticated capabilities within the Facebook messenger app to empower subscribers to solve their data and account issues with a few taps on their smartphones.
