Alfredo ‘Al’ Panlilio has been named the new president and chief executive officer (CEO) of PLDT Inc. Panlilio has replaced Manuel V. Pangilinan, who will still retain the chairmanship of PLDT. Panlilio has served as PLDT’s chief revenue officer. He also serves as president and CEO of Smart Communications, a subsidiary of PLDT. He has been a strong force in the world of business, in the telecommunications, information technology and energy service industries.
