PLDT has completed the sale of its business process outsourcing (BPO) business. The business that was owned by PLDT through its subsidiary, SPi Global Holdings, was sold for over $300 million to a CVC Capital Partners-controlled company, Asia Outsourcing Gamma. PLDT has reinvested about $40 million in Asia Outsourcing Gamma for a 19.7 per cent stake. The sale of the BPO business comes in the wake of PLDT’s review of its business strategy and services portfolio.
