Thailand’s Ministry of Transport has put the Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited’s (AoT) plan to build a second terminal at Suvarnabhumi airport on hold. According to the transport ministry, the 42 billion baht terminal has been put on hold as it does not take into consideration all related infrastructure projects. AoT has been asked to revise the project’s blueprint so that it complies with other infrastructural developments including the U-Tapao airport development scheme and the high speed train system linking Don Mueang airport, Bangkok with Suvarnabhumi, Samut Prakan and U-Tapao, Rayong.
