The PhuocNinh solar power plant in the south-central province of NinhThuan is expected to become operational in June 2020. The plant, which has a capacity of 45 MWp, will supply the national grid with an average of 75 million kWh of electricity each year. The construction on the project has been completed and the plant is ready for equipment to be installed. NinhThuan province aims to become the renewable energy centre of the country and is home to 25 solar power projects. Under the province’s green energy plan, it is expected to reach a total capacity of 1,500 MW in wind energy and 3,912 MW in solar energy by 2030.
