The structural retrofitting of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 that will cost PhP 212.3 million will begin in January 2013. A.G. Araja Construction and Development Corporation will be undertaking the construction works that will take place over five months. In August 2012, DOTC stated that additional construction work is needed to optimise the terminal’s capacity utilisation. Currently, only half of the terminal is being utilised due to structural defects and limited airport systems.
