PhilTower MIDC has reached a major deployment milestone, becoming the fastest independent tower company in the Philippines to complete 1,000 built-to-suit (BTS) towers in the Philippines. The achievement aligns with the government’s push to expand digital and physical connectivity, particularly in underserved and geographically isolated areas. The new towers are supporting coverage improvements from Metro Manila to GIDA communities in the Cordilleras.

The company’s rollout has been driven by streamlined permitting, coordination with national and local agencies, and simultaneous construction activity across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao—peaking at more than 200 active sites. PhilTower MIDC has invested over PHP20 billion to date, with each tower expanding capacity for mobile network operators and supporting local contractors and supply chains.

The joint venture between Phil-Tower Consortium Inc. and MIESCOR Infrastructure Development Corporation is now preparing to surpass the 4,000 operational-site mark. The company says this scale strengthens support for 4G and 5G expansion and positions it as a key pillar in the country’s broader digital-infrastructure programme.
