The Philippine government has launched the final version of its Philippines AI+ Infrastructure Masterplan (PAIIM) 2026–2033, a USD34.4 billion roadmap aimed at establishing the country as a regional hub for artificial intelligence infrastructure. The plan targets a 30-fold increase in AI data centre capacity, from 50 MW to 1.5 GW by 2033, with around 400 MW planned for deployment by 2030.
The investment is expected to include USD13.5 billion from public sources and USD21 billion from private investors. The masterplan identifies connectivity, AI computing and data centres, sustainable energy and water, workforce development, regulation, and AI adoption as key pillars. It also targets 40% renewable energy supply for AI infrastructure by 2033 and identifies Clark-Bataan as the primary development corridor, alongside strategic and regional hubs.
