The Philippines DoTr has reapproved the plans to develop Metro Manila BRT Line 1 and Cebu BRT under the Build, Build, Build programme. The DoTr had scrapped the projects in June 2018 due to infrastructure limitations but now the BRT systems are planned to be partially open by 2021. Both projects are being funded by the World Bank and the French Development Agency/Agence Française de Développement. Metro Manila BRT Line 1 will span 12.3 km from the Quezon Memorial Circle to the Manila City Hall via Quezon Avenue. It is expected to cost $88.84 million. The Cebu BRT will span 23 km through Bulacao, Ayala and Talamban. It will cover 33 stations and is expected to cost $296.13 million.
