The National Grid Corporation of Philippines (NGCP) is set to complete the 230 kV Matanao-Toril-Bunawan transmission line project by 2019 in order to accommodate additional power supply in the Midanao grid. The scope of works will comprise construction of an 80 km long, 230 kV double-circuit overhead line and expansion of substations in Matanao in Davao del Sur, and Toril and Bunawan in Davao City. The project will traverse 44 villages across Davao City and Davao del Sur.
