The concessionaire for the Philippine transmission network, National Grid Corporation of Philippines (NGCP), is seeking immediate regulatory approval for over PHP35 billion worth of transmission projects in Luzon and Mindanao. The key projects include three projects worth PHP18.2 billion in Luzon and two projects worth PHP16.9 billion in Mindanao.

The three Luzon projects are the PHP2.61 billion worth 230 kV Capas substation, the PHP6.38 billion worth, 230 kV Porac substation and the PHP9.23 billion North Luzon substation upgrade.

In Mindanao, the utility proposes to construct the 230 kV Lala─Naga─Mindanao─Zamboanga transmission line project, estimated at PHP15.1 billion, and the Zamboanga Peninsula voltage improvement project worth PHP1.88 billion.
