PetroWind Energy Inc. (PWEI) has been recognised as one of the top community care companies in the 2020 Asia Corporate Excellence and Sustainability Awards (ACES) based in Kuala Lumpur. PWEI is a joint venture of the PetroGreen Energy Corporation, EEI Power Corporation and BCPG Public Company Limited of Thailand. The companies have a share of 40 per cent, 20 per cent and 40 per cent respectively. PWEI operates the 36 MW Nabas-1 wind power facility in Aklan, Philippines, the largest source of indigenous, clean and renewable energy-based electricity in the province.
The ACES Awards honour individuals and firms in Asia for corporate leadership and corporate social responsibility under several categories such as sustainability, green initiative, green innovation and community care, amongst others.
