Petronas has announced plans to expand in Indonesia, with plans to establish a regional hub in East Java by linking its production facilities there and developing logistics capabilities. This growth is encouraged by regulatory improvements and aims to address energy demand in western Java.

Further, Petronas is advancing projects in eastern Indonesia, including the Masela gas project and a deep-water venture in the Bobara block, West Papua. These moves align with the country’s goals to enhance energy production, tapping into high-potential yet challenging frontier areas.
