Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) and Hess Malaysia have made amendments to their upstream gas sales agreement (UGSA) to include the purchase and sale of output from the North Malay Basin (NMB) oil and gas field. The amended PM302 production sharing contract (PSC) will include delivery of gas generated from the Kangsar field as well as gas generated from any future PM325 PSC field.
The UGSA regulates the transaction of gas from the NMB project to Petronas allowing Hess to meet its Malaysian supply and sale obligations. Petronas subsidiary Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd and Hess Malaysia own an equal stake in the gas field.
