Donnabel Kuizon Cruz, president and CEO of Prime Energy Resources Development B.V., has been elected as chairperson of the Petroleum Association of the Philippines (PAP). Prime Energy, a subsidiary of Prime Infra, operates the Malampaya Deep Water Gas-to-Power Project, which supplies about 20 per cent of Luzon’s electricity needs.

PAP, established in 2013, represents companies engaged in upstream petroleum operations in the Philippines. It works closely with the government on industry initiatives, including the PH-Extractives Industry Transparency Initiative and the Department of Energy’s 2024 Bid Round Launch. Its members include Nido Petroleum Philippines, PXP Energy Corporation, PetroEnergy Resources Corporation, PNOC Exploration Corporation, and others, along with associate members from service and support industries.
