Pestech International will begin the construction of a 115 kV power project in Laos in the second quarter of 2013. Upon completion, the facility will produce about 200 MW of power. Earlier, in September 2012, Pestech and its Lao-based JV partner, VLV Soumpholphakdy Sole, signed an MoU with EDL to conduct feasibility studies on the 115 kV power transmission line from Pakse in Lao PDR to the Lao–Thai border. The project will help with the supply of power from hydro plants in Saravanh, a southern province of Laos, to Thailand.
