Pertamina has planned to produce bio-aviation turbine fuel and build a bio-aviation fuel refinery in Kuta, Bali, at an investment of $480 million. The company intends to produce up to 26 million litres per year of bio-aviation fuel and supply non-fossil fuels to aircraft. The bio-aviation fuel refinery will be built near the airport in Kuta. The refinery, expected to reduce carbon emissions from the aviation industry by up to 26 per cent by 2020, will be built by 2017.
