A consortium of PT PP (Persero) Tbk and Wartsila has signed a contract to build two 57 MW modular power plants, with a total capacity of 114 MW to Indonesian state utility, PT PLN (Persero). The consortium will be responsible for the complete engineering, procurement and construction of the project, and will operate and maintain the power plants for a five-year period. The power from the two plants will be generated by 12 Wartsila 34DF engines (six per power plant) capable of operating on multiple fuels, including liquid fuels and natural gas. The equipment will be delivered by March 2017 and the plants are scheduled to be operationalised by June 2017.
