State-run port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III has invested Rp 141.7 billion in the construction of a new yard for handling liquid bulk at the Gresik in East Java. The new yard will enable the port to handle nearly 500,000 tonnes of liquid and chemical materials per year. Besides, the firm will also invest Rp 38.3 billion in the installation of additional new fixed cranes in order to ensure the smooth loading and unloading of liquid cargo.
