The Project Development and Monitoring Facility (PDMF) Board of Philippines has approved four projects under the PPP scheme in 2013: the Plaridel Bypass Toll Road Project (undertaken by the Department of Public Works and Highways); the Manila– Makati–Pasay–Paranaque Mass Transit System and the Philippine National Railways North and South Lines Development and Extension (undertaken by the Department of Transportation and Communications); and the Batangas–Manila Natural Gas Pipeline Project I (by Philippine National Oil Company). Under the PDMF, these projects will be provided with assistance related to pre-investment activities such as the preparation of feasibility studies, bid process management, and advisory services until financial closure.
