Passenger services have begun on the 2.14 km long extension of Kuala Lumpur’s express rail link (ERL) along with a new airport terminal at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). The extension is expected to increase the ridership of the ERL by about 40 per cent. The construction cost of about $30.91 million was funded by the Malaysia government. The standard-gauge ERL extends 59.14 km from Kuala Lumpur to the KLIA.
