PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) has officially commenced passenger service on the Jakarta–Bandung high-speed rail (HSR) in Indonesia, a key project under the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Trials were concluded on September 30, 2023 before the opening. 

The 142-km-long line connecting Jakarta and Bandung will cover four stations. The total cost of the project is USD8 billion. Around 18 sets of HSR vehicles will operate daily on the line and have a maximum speed of 350 km/hr.
