The S-Hub consortium, comprising ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Private Limited and Shell Singapore Private Limited will develop a cross-border carbon capture and storage (CCS) project with the Government of Singapore. The S-Hub project plans to capture CO2 emissions from the country’s underground seabed and the storage sites will be selected after analysis.

In December 2023, S-Hub signed a memorandum of understanding  (MoU) with the Economic Development Board (EDB) to coordinate the planning and development of a CCS project which will store at least 2.5 million tons of CO2 annually by 2030.
