Corio Generation and FECON have signed a joint development agreement for a 500 MW offshore wind project in Vietnam. The fixed-bottom wind farm will be located around 23-35 km off the coast and is expected to be among the first large-scale offshore wind projects in Vietnam, once licensed and approved.
When operational, the offshore wind facility will be able to generate 1.25GWh of renewable energy (RE) while offsetting 600,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually.
