Singapore based utility PacificLight Power has contracted Siemens Energy to deploy the Advanced Turbine Efficiency Package (ATEP) at it’s 800 MW plant. The project will be completed in 2024 and will be implemented in four stages. The new gas turbines will improve efficiency and reduce carbon emissions up to 18,100 tonnes of CO2 equivalent per year.
PacificLight Power has also signed a long-term service agreement for the maintenance and operation of the power plant with Siemens Energy. The company has received a Genco Energy Efficiency Grant from the Energy Market Authority of Singapore to co-fund the project.
