OpenSys Technologies Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of OpenSys (M) Bhd, has partnered with Peoplender Sdn Bhd, the market operator of peer-to-peer (P2P) financing platform Fundaztic, to fund the solar transformation of small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Under the Go-Green campaign, the firms will provide a total of RM5 million in funding to finance the purchase of solar systems, net energy metering (NEM) metres and installation costs. The scheme will be available to all SME customers of the buySolar platform that require funding to purchase solar systems costing up to RM200,000 per SME.
The partnership is in line with Malaysia’s initiative to assist the sustainable energy industry and promote green solutions that reduce carbon footprint and minimise the impact of climate change. The buySolar platform is supported by Sustainable Energy Development Authority Malaysia (SEDA).
