Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) and Schneider Electric have launched its Sustainability Experience Centre to assist small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in SIngapore to implement green technologies. The solutions will include sustainable facilities management as well as the applications of augmented reality (AR) for instant diagnosis and contactless maintenance.

Power usage and energy consumption will also be emphasised on through the application of automation and sensors. Schneider Electric will provide technologies from its EcoStruxure Building Operation 3.0 and an implementation of this solution is expected to provide at least 50 per cent energy savings. The companies will also assist building managers to install and operate electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.

This move is in line with the Government of Singapore’s goal of having at least 80 per cent of buildings to be green by 2030, under the Building and Construction Authority’s (BCA) Green Masterplan.
