NX Vietnam, a subsidiary of Nippon Express Holdings Incorporation, has introduced a new less-than-container-load (LCL) rail freight service on the North-South Railway in Vietnam. This service complements the existing full-container-load (FCL) option, offering greater flexibility and cost-effective logistics solutions. Utilizing NX Vietnam’s warehouses as container freight stations, the LCL service enables efficient cargo consolidation and transport, providing a sustainable alternative to road freight.

With Vietnam’s economy growing rapidly, demand for efficient logistics solutions is increasing. The North-South Railway plays a crucial role in connecting manufacturing hubs with consumer markets. Since launching its rail freight service in June 2024, NX Vietnam has maintained a 48-hour transit time between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The LCL service aims to further enhance logistics efficiency and sustainability in the country.
