NTT Communications (Thailand) Company Limited, a subsidiary of Japan’s NTT Communications Corporation, has opened a branch office in Yangon, Myanmar, making it the first foreign telecommunications company to set up a branch in Myanmar. NTT Communications will work in collaboration with local carriers to provide information and communications technology (ICT) solutions to businesses. The development of infrastructure in the Greater Mekong Subregion has led to multinational corporations establishing and expanding their production and distribution operations in the region. Consequently, the demand for ICT services has also been growing.
