NTC is planning to extend the validity of prepaid credit from three days to five days. Prepaid credits of PhP 10 or less typically expire if subscribers fail to use them within three days. Previously, NTC had considered removing the validity criterion completely. However, it later dropped the idea, as allowing credit to stay within the networks indefinitely imposes a cost burden on both operators and users, which could potentially undermine service delivery.
