Northport (M) Bhd has secured a win under the health, safety and security category at the International Association of Ports and Harbours (IAPH) 2022 Sustainability Award. Some notable initiatives by the company include the introduction of HSE Omission Notification to enforce safety compliance on Northport’s employees and port users, as well as an UCUX mechanism to promote immediate incident reporting.
A total of 53 projects from 36 member ports from 26 countries competed in the 2022 IAPH Sustainability Awards competition in six categories: climate and energy, environmental care, community development, infrastructure, digitalisation, and health, safety, and security.
