China North Industries Group Corporation Limited has launched the Savanakhet road upgrading project in central Laos. It includes construction of an 88.2 km road, a bridge and culvert along with installation of traffic signs and a fence and a design speed of 80 km per hour (kmph). The project will improve the road infrastructure in central and southern Laos and will promote local social and economic development. It is likely to be completed within a period of 36 months.
