Standard Chartered Bank has appointed N. Sapru as the new CEO for operations in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos. Sapru succeeds L. Taylor who has taken up a new role with the bank in London after a three-year assignment in Vietnam.
Sapru has over 25 years of investment and commercial banking experience in both Europe and Asia. Prior to this assignment, Sapru was responsible for client coverage and wholesale banking in Australia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Mauritius, Brunei, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh.
