The Sabah-Sarawak Link Road (SSLR) Project Phase 2 and 3 is currently in the process of management and price evaluation. Once completed, tenders will be launched for works on the road project.
In February 2023, the Government of Malaysia allocated RM6.5 billion for key projects in Sabah under the Malaysia Madani Budget, one of which is the SSLR project.
The SSLR project will add 425 km of new roads across 14 major towns in Sabah and Sarawak. The entire project will take between six and ten years to complete. Work on Phase 1, between Lawas to Pa Berunut, is already underway.
