indicatum C-Solar Power Incorporation (SCSPI), a subsidiary of Singapore-based Gurin Energy has been developing a USD33 million solar power project in New Clark City, Philippines and is slated for completion by January 2026. The Capas Solar Power Project spans 40 hectares and will generate up to 38.81 MW peak (31.25 MW AC), connected via a 69-kV line to the NGCP’s Concepcion substation.

Launched in April 2025, with backing from the Department of Energy, BCDA, and Union Bank, the project aims to power New Clark City’s growth while contributing to the Philippines’ 2030 goal of a 35 per cent renewable share in the energy mix. Officials emphasize the initiative’s role in clean energy generation, local employment, and skills development.

The plant builds on a 25-year lease initiated in 2015 and revitalized following Gurin Energy’s 2023 acquisition of the original firm. The project aligns with UN SDG 7, advancing sustainable and accessible energy.
