The Government of Brunei has unveiled plans to develop a 30 MW solar power plant in Kampung Sungai Akar. The farm will generate 100 MW of solar energy by 2025. Timelines and the investment plan for the farm are yet to be unveiled by the government.
The development of the farm is part of the government’s initiatives to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 20 per cent over the next 10 years.
