A committee set up by the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) has approved the draft measures that will ensure the continuous provision of services to the 18 million GSM customers of True Move and the Digital Phone Company following the surrender of the spectrum. According to the draft measures, state-owned operator CAT Telecom will lease the spectrum in the 1800 MHz band to a third party for one year. The third party will provide mobile services to the customers of the two operators.
