Philippines’ National Power Corporation (NAPCOR) has appointed Melchor Paz Redulme as officer-in-charge (OIC) following the demise of the company’s president and CEO Pio Benavidez. Ridulme, NAPCOR’s vice president and legal counsel, will be the OIC until a new CEO is nominated and formally elected by the National Power Board. Ridulme has been the youngest vice president of NAPCOR and has held his current position for the past 10 years. He also sits as chair of NAPCOR’s Committee on Anti-Red Tape and the Investigative Committee pertaining to the corporation’s whistle-blowing policy.
