The PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV Gas) started operations of Phase I of the Nam Con Son 2 gas pipeline on December 14, 2015. The Nam Con Son 2 gas pipeline has a designed capacity of 18.4 million cubic metres of gas per year and around 1,320 tonnes of condensate per day, equivalent to 7 billion cubic metres of dry gas per year. The pipeline comprises an undersea section of 325 km, stretching from the Hai Thach-MocTinh field, connecting Thien Ung-Mang Cau and Bach Ho to the coast of Long Hai, and an onshore pipeline of roughly 40 km from Long Hai to Phu My. Phase I of the Nam Con Son 2 gas pipeline was built at an estimated cost of $402.6 million. The cost was mainly financed through loans, which funded around 70 per cent of the total cost.
